GOOD TO KNOW
Tip #1 - Don't Stream Upside Down! On a mobile device, the camera controls appear horizontally at the bottom of the display screen. If those buttons are not on the bottom of the display, you are streaming upside down. Reorient the camera device to stream right-side-up.
Tip #2 - Check your Connection Speed in the Settings tab in DirectorView™. If you don't have a fast enough Internet connection to live stream, tap Record Offline and then "Start Recording" to record the ceremony for upload it later.
Tip #3 - You can close your browser (Foveo.App) and/or the DirectorView™ app on your own phone during a live broadcast. It will not disrupt the live stream.
Tip #4 - Simply refresh your browser if your Live Camera feed, Broadcast Monitor, or broadcast control buttons freeze up in Foveo.App. It restores your viewers and your broadcast controls.
Tip #5 - You can play videos for guests at the start of a live broadcast by first clicking Go Live (to ensure the broadcast starts properly), then clicking the Pause Broadcast button and selecting “Play [video name]”. Learn how to upload and integrate videos for broadcasts here.
Tip #6 - When you Pause a broadcast, you must manually resume it by clicking the Resume Broadcast button (under the Broadcast Monitor). If you do not see the Resume Broadcast button , refresh your browser to access the Resume button (where the Pause Broadcast button was).
Tip #7 - The DirectorView™ mobile app ONLY allows you to Start, Pause, and Stop broadcasts from your phone or tablet (When you sign in to the app with your own username and password, you will have access to Start, Pause, and Stop broadcasts; however, you will not have the ability to integrate videos into the live broadcast. To play a video (at the beginning, during a break, or at the conclusion of a broadcast), you must control the broadcast from the DIRECTOR Panel in Foveo.app using a web browser.
Tip #8 - The latest version of DirectorView™ no longer has a Music Note button. If there is a Music Note button in the bottom right corner of your mobile camera's display, tap it OFF and then ON again to get crystal clear audio. Be sure to update your app as soon as possible!
