A family's designated representative (or a funeral director) can download the livestream recording.
1. Family Access to the Recording
How it works
When you schedule a new livestream in Foveo, the Family Account holder you designated when scheduling the livestream broadcast automatically receives an email with the livestream details and their new Foveo username and password. With that username and password, they can access and download the recording and more.
Lost Username or Password?
If necessary, you can help a family access Foveo by sharing the username and password they received. Navigate in the left menu of Foveo to Streams > List, find the desired Stream, and click on the Family Name (the name of the Family Account holder). Make note of the username and password and share it with the Family Account holder.
How to Access the Recording
a. Using their Family Account username and password, they must sign in to www.foveo.app
b. They will be presented with a view of the live stream details and the recording (see image below).
c. When they click Download (beneath the video player) the recording file will download to their own drive or storage device.
Important: Family Access and Recording Retention Policy (updated)
Funeral directors and Family Account holders may download copies of the livestream recording for 90 days after the broadcast to access a recording in Foveo. After 90 days, the recording will be archived. In extenuating circumstances, a copy of the recording may be requested by sending a request to directorcare@foveo.org.
Important: Guest Access Restrictions
Effective August 1, 2026, Foveo's recording retention policy offers funeral homes more choice over how to manage obligations related to music copyright laws. In the funeral home's Settings panel, you may choose which format of a recording will be accessible to registered guests by default (i.e., original format or music-muted) and how long recordings will remain accessible to guests (up to a maximum of 30 days).
