You may ask yourself why your funeral service provider's streaming platform requires online guests to register to attend via live stream or to watch the broadcast recording afterwards. There are three reasons:
1. To protect the privacy and dignity of the family
When your funeral director schedules a live stream broadcast for you, you will receive an email with a personalized registration link that you can share with family members and friends. This will allow you to know exactly who plans to attend or who attended virtually.
If you have guests who may find it hard to register without assistance, you can use the registration page to register them with their email addresses. They will receive a confirmation email and link to watch the live stream, as well as two reminder messages (a day and an hour before the funeral), and a thank-you message with a link to view the recording afterwards.
2. To gives online guests access to personalized features
After registering, online guests receive a secure link to join the live broadcast (or watch the recording afterwards), access to our live guest support, a direct link to sign the guest book, access to share stories and upload photos, and event reminders and a thank-you message with a link to the recording.
3. To let you know who attended virtually
Find out who attended via live stream and do the following: a. View and download guest names and email addresses (to send a message of thanks) 3. Manage access to the live stream, recording, and guest features 4. Unlock meaningful guest engagement features, including the Memories Gallery.
