On July 1, 2026, Foveo introduced two new buttons to help resolve IP Camera connection issues that can arise before or during a livestream broadcast.
These new tools offer a simple way to resolve IP Camera connection issues you may experience.
Here are the two sample scenarios for when it may be necessary to access and activate either the blue Reconnect IP Camera button or the red Reset IP Camera button:
SCENARIO A
- You start streaming to Foveo from your encoder, but you notice your connection to Foveo drops.
- Sign in to Foveo.app with your username and password
- In the left menu, navigate to Streams > IP Cameras
- Click directly on the name of the appropriate IP Camera
- You should be able to see and hear your live camera feed on that IP Camera panel in Foveo.app (see image below).
Notes: There can be up to a 20-second delay between the live camera feed and the IP Camera broadcast shown; to hear your video feed, you will need to unmute the audio with the on-screen mute control. - If you do not see or hear your live camera feed, click on the blue "Reconnect IP Camera" button.
Note: If you click this button during an active livestream and no connection issue exists, the button will have no effect on the live broadcast or the recording.
- You should be able to see and hear your live camera feed on that IP Camera panel in Foveo.app (see image below).
SCENARIO B
- You are unable to see your live camera feed in Foveo and have already tried clicking the blue "Reconnect IP Camera" button a few times, but nothing has changed.
- Click on the red "Reset IP Camera" button.
- Stop streaming to Foveo from your encoder
- Start streaming to Foveo again from your encoder
