Before you start
These instructions will walk you through a clean installation of the DirectorView app.
Make sure you have your Google (Gmail) account login handy.
Connect to a stable Wi-Fi network.taller/Manager.
1) Uninstall any existing DirectorView app
Option A (from Home screen):
Find the DirectorView app icon.
Press and hold the icon ➜ tap ℹ️ (App info) ➜ Uninstall ➜ OK.
Option B (from Settings):
Settings ➜ Apps.
Search for DirectorView.
Tap it ➜ Uninstall ➜ OK.
Note: Uninstalling removes locally stored app data on the device.
2) Delete any previously downloaded .APK files
Open the My Files app (Samsung’s file manager; orange icon).

Tap Downloads.
If you see an APK category, tap it.
Tap the ⋮ menu ➜ Sort by Date (newest first).
Select any files ending in .apk (e.g., older DirectorView installers).
Tap Delete (and Move to Trash if prompted).
In My Files ➜ Trash, tap Empty to permanently remove them.
Also check other folders you may have saved APKs in (e.g., Documents, Bluetooth).
3) Install a fresh copy of DirectorView from Google Play
Open the Google Play Store app.
If prompted, Sign in with your own Gmail account (or switch to the correct account via your profile photo ➜ ▼).
In the search bar, type DirectorView (you can add Foveo to narrow results).
Select the official DirectorView app.
Tap Install and wait for it to complete.
If you cannot access the PlayStore, please attempt to download the app directly from foveo.org/directorview.
4) Open and verify
Tap Open in Play Store (or find DirectorView on your Home screen / App drawer).
Sign in or set up the app as instructed.
If anything is still blocking installation
1) Clear the Android Package Installer cache/data
Open Settings.
Tap Apps.
Tap the ⋮ menu (top-right) and choose Show system apps.
Scroll and tap Package Installer (it may appear as Package Manager or Install Manager).
Tap Storage ➜ Clear cache ➜ Clear data.
Go back and restart the phone.
Tip: If you can’t find it, use Settings ➜ Apps ➜ Search for “package” and look for Package Ins
2) Update Play components
Settings ➜ Apps ➜ Google Play Store ➜ Storage ➜ Clear cache (don’t clear data unless needed).
Settings ➜ Apps ➜ Google Play services ➜ Storage ➜ Clear cache.
Reboot and try Step 4 again.
Ensure the Play Store is using the intended Gmail account (top-right profile photo).
Confirm Date & time are set correctly (automatic) in Settings ➜ General management ➜ Date and time.
