DO NOT USE special characters in the 'Name of Deceased' when creating a new Stream.
Using a "special character" (i.e., quotation marks, apostrophes, accented characters, etc.) in the Name of Deceased field can ultimately create a live stream connection issue.
OKAY TO USE
Brackets/parentheses ( ( ) ), periods ( . ), commas ( , ), hyphens ( - ). These characters will not affect the live stream connection process.
DO NOT USE
Quotation marks ( " ), apostrophes ( ' ), colons ( : ), semi-colons ( ; ), accented characters ( ä, é, ô, ç ), Chinese characters ( 码 ), Cyrillic characters ( Љ ), similar characters, or symbols ( / ), etc. in the Name of Deceased field.
We understand that preferred names and nicknames, in English, are typically surrounded by quotation marks when written with an individual's full or given name. We recommend using brackets.
Note: If it is necessary that one or more special characters appear in a decedent's name, after the live broadcast is over, you may submit an email request to support@foveo.org to have it changed manually in that broadcast page's underlying code by a member of our support team.
Why can't I use special characters? Foveo.app uses a Zoom Communications video streaming engine for its exceptional reliability. Unfortunately, adding special characters to the name of a decedent (the Stream name) is not supported by Zoom to ensure stable, consistent streaming across multiple languages and devices.
