By sharing a single, secure link, ID Sessions are a dignified way to confirm a decedent's identity without needing to send email messages or image files. ID Sessions automate key workflows for you, enabling a funeral director to obtain manager approval and schedule an ID Session in a single step. They also enable Next of Kin to identify their loved one and confirm that identity in a simple way, automatically providing you with written confirmation and consent to proceed with services to be provided.
Note: Some organizations may refer to ID Sessions as Virtual Times of Reflection (V-TOR) or Virtual Private Family Reflections (V-PFR).

ID Sessions in Six Steps
Sign In to Foveo – Sign in to Foveo.app and navigate to Streams > ID Sessions.
Create an ID Session – Schedule a new ID Session by entering family, decedent, and director details.
Request Approval – Manager gets email and approves ID Session; ADM receives invitation, instructions, and unique session access PIN.
Go Live – Director starts the video broadcast; ADM joins Session via secure link.
Confirmation & Waiver – ADM confirms identity and accepts waiver terms.
Notifications – ADM and funeral home receive confirmation emails.

Quick Reference: ID Sessions in Six Steps
Sign In – Log in to Foveo.app and navigate to Streams > ID Sessions.
Create ID Session – Schedule a Session by entering family, decedent, and director details.

Step 1 – Sign In
Go to Foveo.app and log in using your credentials.

In the left-hand navigation menu, click Streams > ID Sessions.
You will see a list of upcoming and completed ID Sessions.
Step 2 – Create a New ID Session
Click +Create (top left) to schedule a new Session.
Select or create a Family Account for the Authorized Decision Maker (ADM).

Enter session details:
Decedent’s Name
Planned Date and Time
Funeral Director’s Name (requestor)
Manager’s Name (for approval)
Justification Notes (reason for virtual session, e.g., family out of town)
Step 3 – Request Approval
Click Request Approval.
The assigned Manager receives an email with an Approve link.

Once approved:
The Requestor (funeral director) receives confirmation.

The ADM receives an email with:
JOIN link
Session instructions
Unique PIN for security.
Step 4 – Live Stream the ID Session

On the scheduled date and time:
Set up your streaming camera in the appropriate area.
Click Go Live in Foveo.app (or directly from camera display) to start broadcasting.
Camera microphone audio is set to OFF (default).
ADM clicks JOIN link in the email, launching a secure browser session.
ADM completes the identification form (name, contact info, relationship details) and clicks PROCEED.
ADM is presented with the secure live video broadcast of the decedent.
Step 5 – Confirmation and Waiver
After viewing the broadcast, ADM clicks CONFIRM to accept waiver terms displayed on the page.
Session ends automatically after confirmation.
Step 6 – Notifications and Reporting
ADM receives a Thank-You email confirming successful identification.

Funeral Director receives a detailed session report by email, which includes:
ADM identification details
ADM’s confirmation and waiver acceptance
Reports can be printed and stored for compliance purposes.
