Every Foveo SimplicityCamâ„¢ kit comes with two state-of-the-art Rode Wireless GO II wireless microphone transmitters (TX) and one wireless receiver (RX). Your kit also has a USB charging block and charging cables for each component.
How long does it take to charge my wireless mics?
A full charge is achieved in 1-3 hours.
What kind of battery life should I expect?
Fully charged, the TXs and RX units have a battery life of 6.5 hours, and they can hold their charge (ready to use) for three weeks or longer.
Can I use the mics while they are being charged?
Yes, you can still use the Wireless GO II mic while charging. For example, they can be attached to the back-up battery pack in your kit while being used.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT OVERCHARGE YOUR WIRELESS MIC KIT
To maintain the battery life of each wireless microphone component, use the supplied charging block and cables. DO NOT leave your microphone components plugged in continuously. Continuously charging the TXs and RX will shorten their battery life, eventually to less than 30 minutes (even when they appear to be fully charged). This will result in a sudden and unexpected loss of audio while streaming. Symptoms that you've continuously overcharged your units includes internal battery expansion, which will cause a unit's housing to pop open over time.
Charging Tips
- The battery level for each unit can be seen on the screen of the Receiver (RX) unit. When the batteries are fully charged, a full green battery will be displayed. When battery level is critically low, the battery will appear empty and turn red on the display.
- Transmitters (TXs) also have an external battery life indicator (blue LED light). It will shine solid blue when the battery is full. It will flash when the battery is low. It will flash quickly when very low.
- When charging, the battery LEDs on the TXs will flash and the battery icon on the RX will display a lightning bolt.
